This is an animated version of Checkers using jQuery. When this was made, I confirmed it working across 4 major browsers, Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari, and FireFox. It's even been tested and confirmed working on my iPad. though it does run slow at times and can fall out of sync (more below)

To create a game click the 'New Game' button. Add your name and choose the colour you want to be. Finally click Select Player.

You will see a checkers board open up. Notice on the top right there are four buttons, M F U ?.

M - minimises the game. Click M again to maximise it.

F - forfeits the game. CAUTION: you will not get a confirmation box

U - brings up a popup box with your GAME ID. You will need this to come back to the game later, as well as giving this number to your opponent.

? - Shows a legend of the coloured squares that you will see

If at any time you fall out of sync you can rejoin the game by refreshing the page. Then simply join the game again as normal. N.B. You must enter the original name of your player otherwise you will enter spectator mode

You may drag the board around by the top of its window

FINAL NOTE: You can play more than one game in the same browser window. However don't play as your opponent in the same window
